Violet
To make this story short, I just had a sudden urge to dye my hair, and dye it purple. Nothing really spurred it. I didn’t lose my mind. I just thought the color would look pretty. I’m not one to normally — or ever — dye my hair any funky color. In fact I normally would never veer too far from my usual hair routine, but lately that’s all I’ve been doing.
Garnier came out with the perfect solution too — something for a sudden urge, that you may or may not regret in a week, and that you can easily do at home.K, I just re-read that. Get your mind out the gutter.
I’m referring to their Color Styler, their new semipermanent wash out intense color. It’s pretty foolproof, even for clumsy people who never dye their hair themselves like moi.
Garnier Color Styler in Purple Mania
It comes in 5 colors — pink, blue, purple, bronze, and red. Throw on an old shirt, wear the black disposable gloves it comes with, give the bottle a shake, and squeeze out a few drops on your fingers. Then just take an inch of DRY hair wherever you want to apply and spread it on evenly with your fingers. You want to just rub the hair where you apply so it coats the strands evenly then just wait for it to dry (or you can blow dry it in). It takes about ten minutes to dry and voila. Color strands that’s good for 2-3 washes.
Half a selfie.
My hair was already light on the tips so I mostly applied it there and the violet came out exactly how I envisioned. And now, I’m ready to move to the Capitol. Like, Hunger Games, not DC.
Can’t wait to try the other colors. Anyone try this? What’d you think? Garnier’s Color Styler is available at drugstores and mass retailers for $7 (2-3 applications with one bottle).
